Eyelash Extensions

Eyelash extensions are the most beautiful, durable, and natural looking way to add volume and length to your lashes.  They enhance the entire face and when applied properly, lash extensions look and feel soft and fluttery.  I apply each lash individually, with no natural lashes or extensions stuck together, so the health of your natural lashes is not compromised.

I only apply Classic eyelash extensions.  This means that only one synthetic lash is applied to each natural lash. I do not apply volumation lashes. I only use Xtreme Lashes brand adhesive that is a professional, hypoallergenic, cosmetic-grade cyanoacrylate adhesive.  At no point are the extensions themselves, or glue making contact with the clients skin. For this reason, there should be zero irritation, puffiness, pain, or tightness during or after your lash extension application.

After your initial full set is applied, you should expect to shed 1-3 lashes per eye, per day which is the normal, healthy shedding of eyelashes.  These lashes are being replaced by new lashes growing in.  Then at 2-3 weeks, I apply extensions to the new, strong lashes and refill your set.  It is vital not to disrupt the natural growth cycle of your eyelashes, in order to prevent breakage and gaps from having your lashes pulled out.  When lashes are stuck together, it prevents them from growing and shedding naturally, therefore causing damage. If you only want your extensions for a special occasion, they will last about one month. If you plan to maintain them with refills, they last indefinitely with refills every 2-3 weeks.

Corrective Work

A huge portion of my work is removing and correcting poorly applied lash extensions. Lash extensions have become extremely popular very quickly, and unfortunately, that means a lot more people trying to provide the service without necessarily having the skill set or training to do so.  Lash extensions are a highly delicate, intricate, and tedious procedure, and absolutely require adequate training and experience.  Don't be fooled by trendy names and deals and the promise of unrealistic results. Do your research...your lashes depend on it.

Before and after photo of lashes that were severely stuck together and not pretty (top). Bottom photo is after clean up, separation, removal, and refilling with new faux mink extensions.

Top 3 photos are 3 different clients that each had really bad work done. The middle photo doesn't look too bad, but if you could see closer, you'd see that the extensions were so close to her skin that her lid was actually swollen. The bottom photo is how your extensions should look.

Before and after cleanup, separation, and refill. Even after 2-3 weeks of your refills, your lashes should not look like the top photo. The twisting means that they are stuck together, and the length style is unnatural and unflattering.

This is an example of natural lash damage caused by poorly applied extensions. They are so severely stuck together, that they have ripped out a section of natural lashes while trying to grow out. Top photo is what she came in with, center is after separation and cleanup, bottom is after refill.

Eyelash extensions should NEVER look like this!

These are a few examples of what your lash extensions should NOT look like.  At no point of having eyelash extensions should they hurt, pinch, twist, sting, clump, or pull on your natural lashes. When your lash extensions are applied properly and with high quality products, they should always be comfortable, clean, and natural looking. A lash stylist that claims otherwise is not providing you accurate information.
